Andhra chemical factory| ആന്ധ്രയിലെ കെമിക്കല്‍ ഫാക്ടറിയില്‍ തീപിടിത്തത്തിൽ 6 മരണം; 13 പേർക്ക് പരിക്ക്

അമരാവതി: ആന്ധ്ര പ്രദേശിലെ (Andhra Pradesh) എളൂരുവില്‍ (Eluru) കെമിക്കല്‍ ഫാക്ടറിയില്‍ (chemical Factory) ഉണ്ടായ തീപിടിത്തത്തിൽ ആറുപേര്‍ മരിച്ചു. 13 പേർക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റു. നൈട്രിക് ആസിഡും മോണോമീഥെയ്ലും ചോര്‍ന്നാണ് അപകടമുണ്ടായത്. അപകട സമയത്ത് ലാബിൽ മുപ്പതോളം പേരുണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെന്ന് ദേശീയ മാധ്യമങ്ങൾ റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നു.

ബുധനാഴ്ച രാത്രി 11.30 ഓടെയാണ് വാതകച്ചോർച്ച ഉണ്ടായത്. ഇത് തീപിടിത്തത്തിനു കാരണമാവുകയായിരുന്നുവെന്നാണു പ്രാഥമിക വിലയിരുത്തൽ. പോറസ് ലബോറട്ടറീസ് ഫാക്ടെറിയിലാണ് തീപിടിച്ചത്. പരുക്കേറ്റവരെ സമീപത്തുള്ള ആശുപത്രികളിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. വാതക ചോർച്ചയ്ക്ക് പിന്നിലെ കാരണമെന്തെന്ന് വ്യക്തമായിട്ടില്ലെന്ന് എളൂരു എസ് പി രാഹുൽ ദേവ് ശർമ പറഞ്ഞു.

തീപിടിത്തതിൽ മരണമടഞ്ഞവരുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്ക് ആന്ധ്രാ സർക്കാർ 25 ലക്ഷം രൂപ ധനസഹായം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റവർക്കും അഞ്ചു ലക്ഷം രൂപയും പരിക്കേറ്റവർക്ക് രണ്ട് ലക്ഷം രൂപയും സഹായധനം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

The explosion was triggered when the gas used for manufacturing active pharmaceutical ingredients and other intermediates in the boiler unit leaked due to suspected malfunction, police said, adding that the incident took place around 11:30 pm on Wednesday.
