ടോക്യോ: ഒളിംപിക്സ് വനിതാ ഹോക്കിയിൽ വെങ്കല മെഡലിനായുള്ള മത്സരത്തിൽ തോൽവി നേരിട്ടെങ്കിലും ഇന്ത്യൻ ടീമിന് അഭിനന്ദ പ്രവാഹം. പൊരുതി കളിച്ച ഇന്ത്യൻ വനിതകൾ 3-4 എന്ന സ്കോറിനാണ് ഗ്രേറ്റ് ബ്രിട്ടനോട് തോറ്റത്. വനിതാ ഹോക്കി ടീം കാഴ്ചവെച്ചത് പുതിയ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ സ്പിരിറ്റ് ആണെന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. അഭിമാനാർഹമായ പ്രകടനമാണ് ഇന്ത്യ പുറത്തെടുത്തത്. ടോക്യോ ഒളിംപിക്സിൽ വനിതാ ഹോക്കി ടീം പുറത്തെടുത്ത പ്രകടനം എല്ലായ്പ്പോഴും ഓർമ്മിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതാണെന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. നേരിയ വ്യത്യാസത്തിൽ മെഡൽ നഷ്ടമായെങ്കിലും പുതിയ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ സ്പിരിറ്റാണ് ടീം പുറത്തെടുത്തത്. വനിതാ ടീമിന്‍റെ പ്രകടനം രാജ്യത്തെ പെൺകുട്ടികളെ ഹോക്കിയിലേക്ക് കടന്നുവരാൻ പ്രചോദനം നൽകുന്നതാണെന്നും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.

ഇന്ത്യയുടെ പെൺമക്കളെ ഓർത്ത് അഭിമാനിക്കുന്നതായി കായിക-യുവജനകാര്യ വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി അനുരാഗ് താക്കൂർ പറഞ്ഞു. വനിതാ ഹോക്കി ടീമിന്‍റെ പോരാട്ടവീര്യമാണ് ഒളിംപിക്സിൽ മികച്ച പ്രകടനത്തിന് ഇടയാക്കിയത്. ഇവരുടെ പാരമ്പര്യം നമുക്ക് കൂടുതൽ മികച്ച രീതിയിൽ ഇടപെടാൻ പ്രചോദനം നൽകുന്നതാണെന്നും അനുരാഗ് താക്കൂർ പറഞ്ഞു.
