പഴയങ്ങാടി, ഇരിട്ടി, തളിപ്പറമ്പ്, പയ്യന്നൂര്‍ ഭാഗങ്ങളിലുള്ള ബാറുകളിലാണ് വിജിലൻസ് പരിശോധന നടത്തിയത്. ബാറിലെത്തി മദ്യപിക്കുന്നവര്‍‌ക്ക് ആദ്യത്തെ രണ്ട് പെഗ്ഗ് നൽകുന്നത് അളവ് കൃത്യമായിട്ടാണ്. അതിന് ശേഷം ഉപഭോക്താവ് അൽപം ഫിറ്റായി എന്ന് തോന്നിയാൽ 60 മില്ലിയുടെ പാത്രം മാറ്റിയിട്ട്, 48 മില്ലിയുടെ ഇവര്‍ തന്നെ തയ്യാറാക്കിയ മറ്റൊരു അളവ് പാത്രത്തിലാണ് മദ്യം അളന്നു കൊടുക്കുന്നത്.

30 മില്ലിക്ക് പകരം 24 മില്ലിയേ പിന്നീട് ലഭിക്കൂ. ഫിറ്റായി നിൽക്കുന്ന ആളെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം അളവ് കൃത്യമായി മനസിലാക്കണമെന്നില്ല. ഇങ്ങനെ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന പാത്രം ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയാണ് വിജിലൻസ് വിഭാഗം കണ്ടെത്തി ലീഗൽ മെട്രോളജിയെ വിവരമറിയിച്ചു. പിന്നാലെ പഴയങ്ങാടിയിലെ പ്രതീക്ഷ ബാറിന് 25,000 രൂപ പിഴയിടുകയും ചെയ്തു.
