2021ലെ ഗണ്‍സ്, എക്‌സ്‌പ്ലോസീവ്‌സ് ആന്‍ഡ് വെപ്പണ്‍സ് കണ്‍ട്രോള്‍ നിയമം പ്രകാരമാണ് കേസെടുത്തത്. വെടിക്കെട്ടിന്റെ വീഡിയോ ക്ലിപ്പ് ഓണ്‍ലൈനില്‍ പങ്കുവെച്ചതിന് ശേഷമാണ് സംഭവം ശ്രദ്ധയില്‍പ്പെട്ടത്. സംഭവത്തിന്റെ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് സമര്‍പ്പിച്ചതായും അന്വേഷണം നടന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണെന്നും പോലീസ് അറിയിച്ചു.
വീഡിയോ കോണ്‍ഫറന്‍സ് വഴി ദിലീപ് വ്യാഴാഴ്ച കോടതിയില്‍ ഹാജരായി. നവംബര്‍ 20ന് ഇയാളെ വീണ്ടും കോടതിയില്‍ ഹാജരാക്കും.
അനധികൃതമായി സ്‌ഫോടക വസ്തു ഉപയോഗിച്ചതിന് അഞ്ച് വര്‍ഷം വരെ തടവ് ശിക്ഷയും 77,000 ഡോളര്‍ പിഴയും (ഏകദേശം 67.74 ലക്ഷം രൂപ) ലഭിച്ചേക്കാം.
