തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് സ്വയം ചിതയൊരുക്കി ഭാര്യ ജീവനൊടുക്കിയതിന് പിന്നാലെ ഭര്‍ത്താവും മരിച്ചു

കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം രാവിലെയായിരുന്നു ഭാര്യ പി നളിനകുമാരിയുടെ (65) അന്ത്യം. തിങ്കളാഴ്ച രാവിലെ പത്തരയോടെയാണ്, വീടിനുപിന്നിലായി വിറകുകള്‍ കൂട്ടി മണ്ണെണ്ണ ഒഴിച്ചു നളിന കുമാരി തീ കൊളുത്തി ജീവനൊടുക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചത്. ഗുരുതരമായി പൊള്ളലേറ്റ ഇവരെ ഉടന്‍ നെയ്യാറ്റിന്‍കരയിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ എത്തിച്ചെങ്കിലും ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച രാവിലെ മരിച്ചു. നളിന കുമാരിക്ക് 90 ശതമാനം പൊള്ളലേറ്റിരുന്നു.

പക്ഷാഘാതമുണ്ടായ ക്രിസ്തുദാസ് ഏതാനും വര്‍ഷങ്ങളായി കിടപ്പിലായിരുന്നു. കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം രോഗം മൂര്‍ച്ഛിച്ചതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രി തീവ്ര പരിചരണ വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇതിന് പിന്നാലെയായിരുന്നു മരണം.
