വോട്ടെടുപ്പിന് തൊട്ടു മുൻപായി, ബിജെപി കൗണ്‍സിലര്‍മാര്‍ ദൈവങ്ങളുടെ പേരു പറഞ്ഞ് സത്യപ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്തതിലെ ചട്ടലംഘനം സിപിഎം കൗൺസിലർ എസ് പി ദീപക് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയെങ്കിലും കളക്ടർ നിരസിച്ചു. സത്യപ്രതിജ്ഞയ്ക്ക് മുൻപ് ഇക്കാര്യം ഉന്നയിക്കണമായിരുന്നു എന്ന് കളക്ടർ അനുകുമാരി പറഞ്ഞു. കയ്യടിയോടെയാണ് ബിജെപി അംഗങ്ങൾ കലക്ടറുടെ വാക്കുകളെ സ്വീകരിച്ചത്.
