പാർലമെൻ്റിൻ്റെ അധോസഭയായ ലോക്‌സഭയിലെ 543 മണ്ഡലങ്ങൾ, ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശ് (175 സീറ്റുകൾ), ഒഡീഷ (147 സീറ്റുകൾ), അരുണാചൽ പ്രദേശ് (60 സീറ്റുകൾ), സിക്കിം (32 സീറ്റുകൾ) എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ നിയമസഭകളിലേക്കാണ് ഏപ്രിൽ-മെയ് സമയക്രമത്തിൽ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പു നടക്കുന്നത്.നിലവിലെ ലോക്‌സഭയുടെ കാലാവധി ജൂൺ 16ന് അവസാനിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ അതിന് മുമ്പ് പുതിയ സഭ രൂപീകരിക്കണം.തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിലേക്ക് പോകുന്ന സംസ്ഥാന നിയമസഭകളുടെ കാലാവധി ജൂൺ 2 നും ജൂൺ 24 നും ഇടയിൽ അവസാനിക്കും.
