ഡെറാഡൂൺ: ഉത്തരാഖണ്ഡിൽ മഞ്ഞുമലയിടിഞ്ഞ് വീണതിനെ തുടർന്നുണ്ടായ മിന്നില്‍ പ്രളയത്തിൽ നൂറ്റിയമ്പതോളം പേരെ കാണാതായതായി റിപ്പോർട്ട്. ചമോലിയിലെ ജോഷിമഠിലാണ് നന്ദാദേവി ഗ്ലേസിയർ തകർന്നു വീണ് ദുരന്തമുണ്ടായത്. ധൗലിഗംഗയില്‍ പെട്ടെന്നുണ്ടായ പ്രളയത്തിൽ നദീതീരത്തുണ്ടായ നിരവധി വീടുകളാണ് ഒലിച്ചു പോയത്.

തപോവൻ ജലവൈദ്യുത പദ്ധതിയ്ക്ക് സമീപമാണ് കൂറ്റൻ മഞ്ഞുമലയിടിഞ്ഞത്. ദുരന്തത്തിൽ മരണപ്പെട്ട രണ്ട് പേരുടെ മൃതേദഹങ്ങൾ കണ്ടെടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇവിടുത്തെ തൊഴിലാളികളാണെന്നാണ് പ്രാഥമിക സൂചന. ഇന്തോ-ടിബറ്റൻ അതിർത്തി സേനയിലെ നൂറു കണക്കിന് സുരക്ഷാ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ രക്ഷാദൗത്യത്തിനായി മേഖലയിലെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ദുരന്തനിവാരണ സേനയിലെയും ആര്‍മിയിലെയും നൂറു കണക്കിന് അംഗങ്ങളെയും ഇവിടെ വിന്യസിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
