വേള്ഡ് അത്ലറ്റിക്സിന്റെ(World Athletics) ഈ വര്ഷത്തെ വുമണ് ഓഫ് ദി ഇയര്(Woman of the year) പുരസ്കാരം മുന് ഇന്ത്യന് അത്ലറ്റിക്സ് താരവും പരിശീലകയുമായ അഞ്ജു ബോബി ജോര്ജ്(Anju Bobby George) കരസ്ഥമാക്കി. ബുധനാഴ്ച്ച രാത്രിയായിരുന്നു പുരസ്കാരം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. കായികരംഗത്തുനിന്ന് വിരമിച്ച ശേഷവും ഈ മേഖലയില് നടത്തുന്ന സേവനങ്ങളാണ് പുരസ്കാരത്തിന് അര്ഹയാക്കിയത്.
